Position Overview:
CDH Consulting is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new clients within existing business sectors, develop new clients within new business sectors, and expand select clients’ existing portfolio of work. The successful candidate will work with the Partner to identify and pursue high quality new business opportunities that constitute sustainable and impactful long-term growth for the organization. A secondary focus of the role is to manage a select number of existing CDH clients with a focus on entrenchment and service cross selling.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop effective and repeatable business development strategies to land new business via multiple channels: existing relationships, industry conferences and events, trade shows, RFP processes, cold calling, etc.
Manage clients’ activity, including maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality of service
Ability to lead, oversee, and execute a variety of environmental compliance projects with input from subject matter experts
Work closely with the project teams to navigate challenges and meet client needs
Mentor and provide client management and cross-selling support to internal staff
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent people and organizational skills and the ability to execute pre-conceived strategies with minimal oversight
Knowledge of oil and gas processes and regulations
Experience managing clients to ensure accurate and timely deliverables as required by regulations and client objectives
Experience and ability to manage multiple clients with changing requirements
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Professional license (PE or PG)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field of study
Client management and business development experience
A minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience
At least 6 years of project management experience
