David Eckelberger

Principal & Partner

Mr. Eckelberger is Principal & Partner of CDH and oversees the operational aspects of the firm’s legal, financial, accounting and HR departments, and conducts business development activities. He was previously Vice President of Land of Jagged Peak Energy—a publicly traded oil and gas company—until its sale to Parsley Energy for more than $2 billion. At Jagged Peak, he was part of the leadership team that transitioned the company from a small start-up to a public company with 100+ employees, during which time he led a department of twenty employees with an annual budget of $60 million. Mr. Eckelberger has extensive experience working for E&P companies throughout the Permian and the Rockies for privates and publics alike. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University.
