Mr. Black holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Hobart College and is a licensed Professional Geologist in Wyoming with more than 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, specializing in remediation, regulatory compliance, and environmental program management. Throughout his career, he has managed complex investigation and remediation projects for oil and gas operators, industrial clients, and government agencies across Colorado and Wyoming. His experience includes leading multidisciplinary teams through all phases of environmental projects, from release response and site characterization to corrective action implementation and regulatory closure, while maintaining a strong focus on technical quality, client service, and cost-effective project execution.
Mr. Black has extensive experience navigating the regulatory frameworks of the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ). Leveraging his technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and understanding of oil and gas operations, he works closely with clients and regulators to develop practical solutions that advance environmental compliance and accelerate project closure. Mr. Black is recognized for his ability to integrate technical, regulatory, and operational considerations to manage environmental liabilities and support long-term asset stewardship successfully.
