Job Title: Project Scientist/Engineer/Geologist

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience

Reports To: Senior Engineer or Geologist

Position Overview:

As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to lead and execute a variety of environmental compliance projects with oversight from senior staff. You'll work closely with our project teams to overcome challenges and meet our clients' needs, all while providing mentorship and support to junior staff. Your role will involve managing projects, leading project teams, and report and deliverable preparation, with a focus on Colorado soil and groundwater site investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing multiple projects, with a focus on soil and groundwater site investigations and remedial actions

  • Mentor and develop junior staff

  • Maintain project schedules and budget expectations

  • Work with CDH staff and technical leads to manage projects including soil sampling and excavation oversight, and groundwater monitoring programs predominately for oil and gas clients in the Rocky Mountain region

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting site investigation and delineating soil and groundwater contaminated sites

  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas processes and regulations or other related/adjacent industries

  • Experience and ability to manage multiple projects with changing requirements

  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures

  • Experience managing field teams and project personnel to collect data and generate deliverables as required by regulations and client objectives

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Colorado (ECMC) and/or New Mexico (OCD) spill reporting

  • Professional license (PE or PG)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field of study

  • At least 6 years of relevant industry experience with at least 2 of those years including project management experience
