SALARY RANGE: $115,000 TO $135,000, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
REPORTS TO: AIR QUALITY DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Position Overview:
The Senior Air Quality Scientist/Engineer at CDH Consulting will manage air compliance and permitting programs, liaise with clients and regulatory agencies, conduct emissions calculations, and prepare air permit applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage client air compliance and permitting programs for oil and gas sites, including managing varying overlapping schedules and tasks
Provide guidance to clients for site design/operations to ensure compliance with regulations
Act as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies
Conduct QAQC of other team members’ calculations and reports, and mentor junior staff to build technical skills and ability interpreting regulations
Conduct air emissions calculations and prepare reports for permitting, emissions inventories, annual compliance reporting, and greenhouse gas reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Professional demeanor, strong technical writing skills, and experience writing technical reports
Proficient in MS Suite, particularly in Excel, Word, and Visio
Be the expert in state, federal (EPA), tribal, and local air compliance and permitting regulations in one or more of the following states: Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, or North Dakota
Ability to read through complex state and federal regulations to determine applicability to varying client facilities and scenarios
Experience with managing projects, meeting budgets, and being the main point of communication for client contact
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in preparing greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations and submitting reports via EPA’s e-GGRT portal
Knowledgeable in recent finalized EPA air regulations
Comfortable with submitting reports via EPA’s CEDRI portal
Able to travel approximately once/quarter to client sites or client meetings
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field of study
12+ years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance
