Job Title: Staff Air Quality Scientist

Location: Remote, preference within the Denver Metro Area

Employment Type: Full Time Exempt

Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience

Reports To: Senior Air Quality Scientist

Position Overview:

CDH Consulting is seeking an entry-level Staff Air Quality Scientist to join our growing Air Quality team.  This position will help support new and existing air quality permitting and compliance projects in the U.S. oil and gas upstream and midstream markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing air emissions calculations for permitting, emissions inventories, and annual compliance reporting.

  • Review state, federal, and local regulations for compliance tasking.

  • Implement compliance assistance programs for clients including data management and document review.

  • Short-duration travel to client field sites to conduct periodic site inspections and support air monitoring programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

  • Strong technical writing skills and experience writing technical reports.

  • Proficient in MS Suite, particularly in Excel and Word.

  • Detail-oriented and team player.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, such as greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting and common air pollutants (both criteria and hazardous).

  • Experience working on emissions permitting processes with CDPHE. 

  • Experience with air emissions inventory, greenhouse gases, and periodic air permit reports.

  • Experience with ESG emissions reporting is a plus.

  • Familiarity with AERMOD and BRE ProMax software is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field required.

  • 0-2 years related work experience.
